Los Angeles, CA-After being on the air for 25 years Larry King has announces his retirement from his nightly news show. It has been recognized as the longest running show, in the time slot, and with the same host. In a statement at the beginning of his program on June 29th, King stated that he will remain with CNN and continue Larry King special reports.

Actress Rue McClanahan Passes Away

The actress most famous for her role on hit television sitcom "The Golden Girls" has passed away. In 1997 she successfully battled breast cancer, and in 2009 she underwent heart bypass surgery. According to her agent, she suffered from a stroke around 1 am on June 3rd. She was 76 years old.
