From The Streets Of Iran featuring graffiti-based works on paper by urban artists from Iran: ICY, SOT, FRZ, MAD, and CK1.
Crewest Art Gallery, located in downtown Los Angeles, does it again and brings you a most special exhibit from a place where there is very little freedom of anything, let alone expression. Street art in Iran is most unwelcome by the government and curating this show drew many challenges that are rarely, if ever seen here in the good old U.S. of A. More then two dozen pieces were deemed unsuitable for shipping to the U.S after being inspected by a postal worker in Tabriz, Iran. Due to the political and sensitive nature, Crewest had to exercise caution with added security, major crowd control and inspection of back packs. A small price to pay for beauty and freedom.

Nine Inch Nails @ The Fonda

The end is nigh-- at least for Trent Reznor's Nine Inch Nails. The penultimate live show of the 20 year old group's touring career took place Tuesday night (9/8/9) at the Henry Fonda Theatre and nearly tore the place down. The nearly three hour set featured songs from the span of the band's career and featured guests Gary Numan, Danny Lohner , Mike Garson and Greg Puciato.

Vans Warped Tour 15th Anniversary Show

The Vans Warped Tour turned 15 this year, though that sounds relatively young, some of the bands who took the stage were looking a little long in the tooth (e.g. Bad Religion and NOFX). Katy Perry, Pete Wentz, The Decaydance and The All-American Rejects also performed.

A cast of real-life celebutantes (i.e. children of actors, party girls and reality TV stars)play snooty sorority girls who are being stalked and hacked to death by someone who's just had enough in the new slasher flick 'Sorority Row.' The premiere took place yesterday at the ArcLight Hollywood, where Demi Moore escorted daughter (and cast member) Rumer Willis, Carrie Fisher posed with other 'Sorority' girls Caroline D'Amore, Audrina Partridge, Briana Evigan and Jamie Chung, and goofy-good looking Ron Livingston smirked on the red carpet.

Franz Ferdinand @ Palladium
26 photos
Glasgow imports Franz Ferdinand blew into the Palladium Thursday night with a electric set of the dance-rock that broke them into the big time a few years ago. Alex Kapranos and Co appeased the crowd with hits "Walk Away", "Do You Want To?" and of course the song that broke them into stardom 5 years ago, "Take Me Out."
