LOS ANGELES, CA (Mar. 26, 2010) -- The hottest rapper alive is about to hotter. Literally. Jay Z prepared for his headlining spot next month at Coachella with a sold out show at LA's Staples Center. Part of the Blueprint 3 tour, Friday's show was an epic display of Jay Z's prowess and command of the stage. Although the 2+ hour set was devoted largely to new material, there was a special treat planned for fans of his earlier work. "Those of you who came just to hear the new stuff, the Blueprint stuff, can leave now and maybe beat traffic, or you can stay and learn something," the rapper declared before launching into a medley of hits off his 1996 classic debut album "Reasonable Doubt".

April 17, 2009 (Moz Sounding Marvelous) On Day 1 of the Coachella Music & Arts festival in Indio, CA, former Smiths frontman Morrissey got sweaty and semi-spanish speaking with the desert folk. The "charming man" then took his off his shirt and pranced around. In a moody way. Suspiciously, my camera stopped working at that very moment. ;)

Day 3 was as hot as a Tabasco bath.

After missing some of the earlybird acts (thanks to a post-Prince after party that was held in a dustbowl at the Indio airport til dawn), the day began with the electrified gypsy sounds of Gogol Bordello.

Last time I attended one of their punk rock bar mitzvahs, I was kicked in the head from the front, a schmuck hurled himself over a barricade and jumped on me from behind, and my camera got smashed into tiny morsels... MORE
